Bleh, there is nothing to prevent it. It's just part of human nature. Stereotyping has always been here and always will. We can't really do anything about it in general.

What.. how the heck do we even know what type of clothes you wear? It's human nature. Judging someone by their appearance is not really wrong.. it's something that everyone does, even you.

if you call yourself "kangsta" then, people obviously think of you as gangster/black-wannabe. and if you don't like people stereotyping you, you can either just ignore it, or prove them wrong, even though in your case, you can't really prove them wrong.

I get your point, you can't judge someone like that. Except...people have their reasons when they accuse you "acting black". I mean...you call yourself "kangsta"....

thats how i learned to stop jumping to conclusions about people. it's only the dumbf*cks at my school who fit them- not most everyone else

Who could resist the wonder that is Nicki? hug.gif innocent.gif

People do stereotype me, though. For instance, I go to a very "ghetto" school. Well, other "preppy/white" schools call it ghetto because Caucasians are not the main ethnicity. I walked by a group of "ghetto" people, and they start mocking me singing that old song that goes like, "I like girls who wear Abercrombie and Fitch *laugh*". It bothered me for a while, but whatever.

there are always going to be people judging you.
it's frustrating i know.
from what I've observed, you are a very innocent looking kid, and you wear these "gangsta-looking" cloth, it just doesn't suit you too well. that's why a lot of people may think you are a wannabe.

Jason, you complain that people are accusing you of acting "black," yet you call yourself a "kangsta" and you write raps.

Are you really that dense? _dry.gif

^ Totally agreed. You say you're not trying to be gangsta or black, but yet you still call yourself the Kangsta and all that crap. Rap is originally from blacks, so believe it or not, it's easy for people to come to the conclusion that you're trying to be black. All I can say though is be yourself. _dry.gif
