...those are indie bands?

we're going to seattle for spring break, so last night i was going to a bunch of band's websites so i could go to a show when i was there, and when i was looking at pedro the lion's tour dates i saw one there around the time i thought we were going to be there, so i got REALLY excited and such and started to tell everyone about it, just to have my mom inform we it's 3 days before we go. i was disappointed to say the least.

i just found out that the mars volta, the decemberists, and the appleseed cast are coming consectutively 3 weeks in a row. hell yes!

...now watch me go to none of them. i have one friend who kind of wants to go to the decemberists, to see appleseed cast i would have to tag along unwanted with that a-hole, and im not all that interested in mars volta. but maybe something will work out...

The Mars Volta is f**king amazing. Don't miss that show.
Or The Appleseed Cast.
Seriously.

I'm tired of music constantly having to be filed as this or that.

^ i'm assuming that was last part was directed towards me. in my defense, i thought indie was usually a term given to artists who are signed on indepedent labels... i don't really think of it as a genre, persay. and i didn't think most of those artists were on independent labels so... yeah. those bands just seemed completely out of place. but whatever.

i'm trying to get tickets to coachella, but yet again i have no ride.

HAHA, wasn't directed towards you, dear. More like everyone in general.
Sabrina just said that ("I'm tired of music constantly having to be filed as this or that. If you like it, wonderful. If you don't, wonderful. That's all you need to know. Share it with people, but if they don't like it, who gives a f***") and I really liked it but didn't want to make a thread out of it.
In fact, that's what I'll be saying when the situation fits from now on.

My sister got tickets to that show (The Killers). Of course she didn't bother to get me one.

I heard Louis XIV is pretty good live.
And my friend met the lead singer and she said he's really nice.

haha, well with the placing of it right after my post telling that girl that those weren't really indie bands... i just thought it was an attack on me "filing" bands into a particulary genre. my mistake.

...and i still haven't found any shows in seattle or a ride to take me to see the good life.

yeah Louis XIV is really good live. I saw them when they came during the summer for street scene. Two of my friends met the lead singer that day too. They said he's nice, and he was just walking around.

Bwahahaha.
*revives an old topic*

I'm seeing Slipknot, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, and Dillinger Escape Plan on Sunday, April 24th.
Then I'm seeing Lamb of God again on April 25th, I hope...If my parents let me anyway. ><

I might possibly go to Ozzfest this year. Damn, I hope.

Nothing ever comes to KC. Ever.

I'm going to try and go to Pointfest in STL to see Life of Agony, Mudvayne, American Head Charge, Bloodsimple, Breaking Benjamin and bunch of other bands.

I'm planning on going to Sounds of the Underground in STL so that I can see Lamb of God, Devildriver, and bunch of other bands.

I'm also currently plotting a way to get to Chicago so that I can go see Iron Maiden.

Maybe if I were into a different type of music KC would be a better place to be for concerts.

Ah, well...
Maybe next year?

I'm going to see Modest Mouse on June first. We hardly get any concerts in my town, so when I can, I never pass them up. Besides, concerts are always fun if you can stand the music, which I can. I used to like Modest Mouse quite a bit a while back... So it shall be fun. I'd also like to experience a concert that isn't metal... Just to get the feel of other concerts, you know? Since I've only experienced one concert and it was metal, it'd be nice to experienece something else.

The "How the West was won" tour ft. Snoop Dogg and Game was in my area recently. Oh well I missed the opportunity to see it.
