I have this "friend" who I can no longer stand. She's bitchy, mean (but not to me), and an attention whore. She's such a needy person all she does is talk about herself, and she intentionally surrounds herself with losers to look better herself. Besides that, she doesn't give a shit about my life. I can't deal with it or her anymore.

So, I'm breaking things off with her. Anyone else ever have to end things with a ex-friend?

I am doing that right now. I tend to avoid confrontation but it's inevitable. There's this 'friend' of mine that I can't stand anymore. Our relationship was VERY unhealthy. I mean, we're almost 21, I go to uni, I have a boyfriend with whom I'm practically living with, I've got a complicated family, I've got friends. I am quite busy. Unlike her, she's almost 21, doesn't go to college anymore, is single, has NO friends, except me, living alone, no family in Belgium. I mean, I became her WHOLE world. Whenever I did stuff with my boyfriend and his friends, she HAD to be there or she'd bitch and whine. Whenever my boyfriend and I had problems in our relationship, she'd practically tell me to dump him and PROPOSE for me and her to clubbing.

I can't deal with her anymore. It's been 3 years and I've had it. What I do, I stop talking to her, become really cold, tell her I'm very busy. But then we talked yesterday on MSN and yeah, like I expected, things didn't go well. It sucks that we aren't talking but my relationship is better with my boyfriend ... I feel REALLY relieved.

In your case, either you avoid her completely or you talk to her. She might bitch and make things seem as if it's your fault but stay strong and fast to your opinion.
