Greece. We adopted the representative democracy because quite simply it was much easier and more efficient to have a group of individuals who represented peoples in different regions of the country, and different cities. We did not adopt a purer form of democracy because it would require people to vote on every single issue that were to arise, and every single bill. That form of democracy would be impractical.

Anything else?

edit: Lol I made that comment on Rome because you mentioned Rome earlier.

Also, where else do you suggest I learn about history. I don't have a delorian and a flux capacitor you know.

So if you have that answer, where do you get the idea that no nation has ever cared about the "minority"?
If you truly believe that, then you wouldn't know much about Greece. Yet you're able to answer correctly with partial info (it's good enough for me).

Anyways my point is, America's politics are more of Rome than it is of Greece. The idea of Democracy is in fact a facade. Sub-Democracy used to be good, until Ronald Regan stepped in, after that, Democracy went down the hill.

I knew I shouldn't have typed "no nation", instead should have typed "no nation that I'm aware of."

Also which part of Greece are you alluding to? Athens I presume?

What other info should I have included, enlighten me.

Where did I say it didn't care about the minority, I said catered if I do remember correctly. Never mind, I said worry. Regardless, when nations focus on the minority instead of the majority, I would assume that much more efficient things could be going on, unless it was the majority who wanted to help the minority and were willing to sacrifice things in order to do so.
