hits and users Options

You know how you can have stats for your site? I've seen a few of them. Well I have this:

Problem is, whenever I change the name and paste it, it doesn't work. There's a part of the page that suddenly disappears. Is there something I should be doing?

ok , well here is one that is more advanced that i wrote for my site many years ago.. it list total hits a day and all that same concept though

u still need a counter.txt on the root of the server and just put this code in count.php and call it in the index.php file like this
