Lets just say that there is this guy I know... lets call him bob .... and then there is his friend.. lets just call her ally.... lets say that ally likes bob... but bob does not like her in that way... he loves her like a sister... but ally said to bob that she really likes him more then the way that bob likes her.... and bob wants to tell ally that he loves her like a sister nothing more...but afraid what will happen when he tells her... especially since she has gone thru a dramatic moment in her life....lets just say that it was a death of a family member....so what should bob do?...should he tell her the truth even though it will just add to the pain that ally already has....or what?

Well... first of all, he shouldn't lie that he likes her back just because he pities her...
He should speak the truth of what he thinks... He should tell her that, he's sorry but he can only see her as his own sister... nothing more, nothing less. All you can actually do is tell the truth.. it's just if she'd accept it or not... speak out your mind... X__X" and tell her what you toldd createblog. =) |

^ i agree. bob shouldn't just lie and tell her what she wants to hear just because she's going tough time. he should tell her the truth, if he doesn't and she finds out then it'll hurt her even more

lying to ppl so they won't get hurt makes things worse. basically, its leading them on and they'll think, "yay, my love is being returned." and then later on, "oh crap, its not, i'm going to go jump off a bridge now."

ok the later bob tells her the worse the fall will be for all. he's leading her on making her think that bob is ok with her liking him like that and that jsut makes it worse. n the losing a family member...it happens. she'll have to deal with it. we all have to face losing a loved one sometime in our life. he has to tell her. no question about it. it's better than not saying anything.

I think he should tell the truth...even if it will hurt her because of a dramatic moment in her past. Basically he shouldn't like her because he pities her...if he lies and says he does like her...then it will hurt her worse later on when the relationship doesn't last.
 So....tell him to tell her the truth.

bob should tell ally but stay close friends with her. if bob lied and said he did like her in that way not only would he not be happy but she sure as hell wouldnt be happy when she found out, she would be even more hurt. bob and ally need to sit down over a huge bucket of ice cream and talk everything out. hey maybe bob will end up liking ally someday. tell ally not to let her hopes get smashed.

Tell her the truth. If you lie to her, it is just going to make her think that u want to date her, then, when she asks, your not going to want to, then, its just going to hurt her more than if she heard the truth from the start

yes, he needs to tell her how he really feels about her because she could think that he is leading her on whenever in reality, he just wants to be really, really close friends. but he should wait because, as you said, it is a critical moment in her life and she is probably very vulnerable. =/
