FAT MIKE. laugh.gif I love how the majority of bassists are overweight. It's great. Or at least.. it just seems that way. Flea (^) is awesome, though. throb.gif

I'm told that it's fascinating how the bassist from Parliament can chainsmoke and play at the same time.

To be quite honest, though, I just don't have one.

Les Claypool...I'm not necessarily a big fan of his music, but he's definitely the best that I know of. Victor Wooten is pretty sweet too.

Les Claypool or Jaco Pastorius

Probably John Myung from Dream Theater. Anyoen who plays "Flight of the Bumblebee" with slap-bass is okay in my book.

Gotta give to Jaco Pastorius, too, although I never listened to Weather Report much. But Jaco did a lot of innovative things with the bass.

i'd say the only bassist i ever really noticed was the bassist for "escape from earth", and simply because he was the only member of the band that did not suck.
