Hillary Clinton announces bid for 2008 elections
Not exactly a surprise, but it's on the news so here you are. I will reserve my judgement for now, however I will say I am leaning towards considering her not the best candidate for the Democratic Party. So far, she doesn't seem able to appeal to the swing voters, as well as she doesn't seem to run on any novel idea or program. It is kind of the democrats might run on more of the same to me, but it is too early to judge anything just yet. What's your take? |

I think Barack Obama has a better chance of election than Hilary Clinton.

Is she really a good candidate? not just because her husband was president before. But if she wins she'll be the first female..America is finally aiming for diversity in politics.

this debate is what got me started on CB and i was young and stupid.
I dont like how hilary changed her stance from going for war to opposing war just for popularity. |

To widen the discussion's range, let me say that so far Edwards, Obama and Clinton have confirmed their will to run for presidency.
I still think Clinton is not able to appeal swing voters due to her career as uppity Northern Democrat senator, btw. |

It's not surprising, but I don't think she will win...she's too liberal to win popular opinion.

Well, Obama doesn't really have the money to compete with Hilary. But he seems to be pretty good friends with Oprah, so maybe she'll drop him some change.

LOL Oprah being the most influential personality today (or definitely being one of them), I wouldn't be surprised.![]() Out of these two, I don't know who I'd want to win, but definitely one of them...break as many norms as you can. |

its gonna be like this ...all the minorities and mod cons will vote for obama , and all the corporate liberals will vote for hillary , she should lay low on the estrogen pills .
i believe that: obama has a + on foreign policy hillary has + on domestic policy pick or choose . the game of choice . |

Ehhh. I dislike her too. Obama seems good, but he doesnt seem to have much experience (he's only been a senator for 2 years).
From what I know about Edwards, I think he'd be the best pick for the Democrats. Plus, I think he'd appeal way more to swing voters, and moderates (actually i think he's more of a moderate than liberal). ![]() |

Ehhh. I dislike her too. Obama seems good, but he doesnt seem to have much experience (he's only been a senator for 2 years). Having in mind how the 04 elections were basically based on slander and spin rather than on actual political projects from both sides, one could argue that Obama being kind of a "rookie" amongst the USA's top politicians is something to keep in his favor. >_>; |
