As crazy as this might sound and as much as Twitter is the new MySpace. Will Createblog ever begin posting Twitter templates soon?

THANKS FOR FILLIN ME IN

Twitter is just a little fad. It's not going to last much longer.

I'd give it six months before the hype dies.

Eh I dk, tbh. Probably not. A lot of the times we say we're going to make layouts for sites such as Twitter and Tumblr but no one submits any. But if anyone wants to do so, go right ahead.

Yet I still I don't know why we still have the Hi5 section. -0 layouts. whistling.gif

More people were in favor of Tumblr than Twitter, and since adding the forum there haven't been many submissions. And like Mike said, hi5 has its own layout section, but 0 submissions.

you can't even put layouts on twitter. you make a background and change the colors. nooooooooooooooooooot hard.

I was thinking about suggesting we add a Twitter layouts section on CB, but you can't even use HTML to add credit links so I don't know.

Even if Twitter is a fad there might still be some demand for their layouts. My 2 cents is have a few submit Twitter layouts and see how many views they get. That will probably be a good indicator.

I think twitter is the worst idea in existence, but at the moment I am using it.

I never knew twitter had templates you could make for it O_o ... so few people have different-looking twitters that I just assumed they were all the same.

Whateverlife.com has twitter layouts backgrounds & colors. Someone could ask her how many views she gets on them.

EDIT: I'm sorry rnicron, but their basically the same thing. You can change all of the colors just like you can on myspace.

You could put the credit link on the background. Like say you have a flashing background, put the credit in the top-left corner flashing black and white or something.

I agree.

Posted by: rnicron Jun 2 2009, 04:03 PM

again, it's not a layout. she made a background and told you what colors to use. you save the image and reupload it. you then save it as your twitter background. nooooooooooooooot hard.

Posted by: fainaru Jun 5 2009, 10:18 PM

But no one is using myspace anymore :(

twitter.. hmm there really isnt that much for templates for twitter..
the only way you can customize it, is by changing the background color and text color.

no need for it.

True, but graphics can be supplied as well as colour palettes. Gabi has Twitter layouts on her site.

http://www.atomicaffliction.com/

Yeah, I was gonna post that too. All you can do, is create a twitter-style background and a color palatte to match that. Not really any customization that you can do with myspace or tumblr.

Posted by: jcp Nov 5 2009, 12:56 AM

there cant really be templates. only images. and you cant even decide to center background images. so I so no.

Posted by: fixtatik Nov 5 2009, 04:33 PM

I dunno...it might seem like everyone's using a third-party client, but take a look at Twitter's traffic. Even with so many people posting from their phone or a browser plugin or other client, they're still in the top 15 on Alexa. Myspace has given up trying to compete with Twitter, and they're now leaning more towards a focus on music and gaming.

I can see how plug and play backgrounds and color schemes can be useful to some people, but it just isn't difficult or time consuming enough to merit its own layout category. I'd offer up a support subforum suggestion, but the last time we did that... well, look at http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showforum=114.

i bet you if someone made a basic tumblr theme tutorial,
ppl would be all up in that tumblr support.
