In this tutorial you will learn how to colorize a black and white picture using Photoimpression 5. Although in PhotoImpression, you can

also colorize a color picture, so you don't have to use a black and white picture for this tutorial. :]]

First, get out the picture you will be using. I will be using this picture of a ferret:

Alright. Now, open Photoimpression and open your picture. To do this, choose File >> Get Photo.

A new dialog box will pop up. Choose the 'Folder' option.

Choose the picture by clicking on the folder icons until you've found your picture. Assuming you know the location of your picture, this

should be fairly easy. You can flip through the pictures in a folder by clicking the 'Play' arrow. Flip through until you've found the one

you want.

Next click on the Enhance button at the top of the screen. This should bring up some new options on the right side of your picture.

Now go to the 'Fix' option. Click on it and then click the option under it that says "Color Adjust".

Underneath, there should be a section that says "Color Adjust Options". Make sure the button that says 'Color Tone' is chosen instead

of 'Hue/Saturation'. It should look like this:

Move the slider underneath until you like your results, and viola! You have a colorized picture!

Here is my final result. You can click on the 'Create' button at the top of the screen to add text, frames, effects, and more!
