If you've seen any of [url=http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&friendID=3720627&Mytoken=20041230073328]my photography pieces[/url], you'll notice how crisp and clear some of the images turned out. Well, I don't really have my camera to thank for that considering it's only 3 MP and most of my photos don't come out as clear and vibrant as I'd like them to.

I am going to share with you a simple secret to sharpening your images without causing artifacts or halos (lesser image quality) - a great technique all of you photography lovers could use.

1) Open an image you'd like to work with in Photoshop or you can use the following image, an actual photo I took myself at the Atlanta Botanical Garden:

2) Now duplicate this layer: Layer >> Duplicate Layer. Set its blend mode to "Soft Light".
