I like really like the soft colors and tones you were going for, but I feel like something is missing. As for the content area, I think would be better if it was bigger, and the comment box was smaller

Yeah I agree about the using other's art. Some people work hard on this site to create their own so it sometimes seems unfair. This is a cute layout though, when you look past that.

Its a bit misaligned. Also I can't stand it when people make layouts with this artists work, but only because i've collected it for years >_< I don't like the "so simple" on it. I think if you would have used the name of the artwork it would have been cuter.

Hmm, there's something about this layout doesn't suit simplicity well for me. But I really like the tone of yellow you used for the top and bottom, and the soft grey borders and text add a nice touch to that. The picture of the girl looks awesome, too. I don't know though .. it's something in the content area that seems off to me. But it's just my opinion. :D
