how often do you argue with your significant other? how long do you typically stay mad/annoyed at them?

it's impossible to avoid all arguments when you live with them

Well, I don't live with a significant other, but when it comes to arguments in general, I don't really hold a grudge. I might be pissed off and avoid somebody for a few hours to take that time to cool off; if it's not a big deal, I'll just get over it and approach them like the argument never happened. Sometimes I'll apologize if I feel like I've overreacted. Most of the time, though, I tend to just drop the argument for the sake of peace. Like, I wont just say that they're right, I'll try to just change the topic or whatever.
I tend to not argue a lot with people and the people I do argue a lot with are people that I usually don't like much, thus tend to avoid completely.

I try not to argue because I'm just soo sick of drama, but it happens sometimes. My boyfriend and I almost never argue... We have disagreements every now and then, but we never stay mad at each other for more than a few hours.

We hardly argue, though when we do, the arguments are pretty nasty.
Life's too short to spend it spewing negativity at each other.

On a somewhat related note, this topic reminds me of the research John Gottman does. He can predict, with up to 94% accuracy if couples are going to stay together or not (or whether their marriage last past the 8 year mark), based on how they argue and how they react to their significant other when he or she brings up something that would typically start an argument (like financial issues).
It doesn't really matter who I have a disagreement or argument with, I like to make sure that everything between us is ok before the day ends. I can't go to bed bitter or angry, so I usually opt to just deal with it right away.

Me and my boyfriend don't really fight much, we had one big argument and like two minor ones it our 8 months, Ususally if he is pissed Ill just get annoyed and then just semi ignore him so I can have my space then we usually just slowly get a long again
so it's not bad

Haha, she sees you eatin', she hatin'...!
I count those as arguments/conflicts and not actual arguments. It's good you don't fight-fight every day, otherwise you'd both go crazy. But I know she probably drives you crazy just because she's a woman and therefore a terrible creature, amirite? :P

You know what though, those little conflicts can add up and eat at you. I've been in relationships where it felt like we were constantly at each other even though the arguments individually weren't a big deal.

Yes, I've learned that the hard way, and also learned how not to nitpick and try to get along better, for both parties' sake.

I tend to avoid arguing but when I really argue with someone, I usually won't talk to them for the rest of the day. I just like to have my own space, think about what was said and cool off. But if I absolutely have to talk to them, I will. Then the next day, things usually go back to normal. I won't really mention what happened the day before.

Something small I usually ignore it, Boys will be Boys and Girls will be Girls
And usually we all like to be right and prove eachother wrong

Had an argument the other day because I keep telling my boyfriend to put the toilet seat back DOWN when he's done and he aaaaalways says he will and then NEVER does it. It's my apartment and I'd like to not fall in my toilet when I'm half asleep ...

agreed. ^^
i've been living with my s.o for almost 7 months now and compared to most couples, we're really good about rarely arguing but i've foud i'd rather argue a little more often and get over it more quickly instead of rarely arguing and having it be a bigger deal when it happens.

for real i don't get why people look down on arguments so much. never ever having arguments does not make a relationship automatically better than those who do.
i can't fathom always agreeing on everything. zzzzzzzzz
