i think my mom uses this marinade:

- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic, from jar is fine
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

apparently all my whining for steak has gotten other people craving steaks as well, so we're gonna go buy the ingredients tomorrow, marinade on wednesday, and have an awesome steak dinner party thursdayyyyy night.

O.M.G. That mix of ingredients makes my mouth water. I normally marinate it in lemon first for 24 hours (til the next day, not literally 24 hours) then marinate it in Worcestershire for the rest of the day til it's time to cook. Sometimes I'll brush one layer of BBQ sauce while it's cooking (baked/grilled)

I could probably sit here for hours, think about steak, drool a bit, and call it a day. Steak is my liffffffe. I like it unmarinated except for a bit of salt and pepper, rare-medium rare. I don't like steak sauce or marinated steak or any of that. No I've never had steak with eggs, but now I want some!!!!!!!

i don't know that i have a favorite kind.

i like to season it really well with cracked black pepper, chopped garlic, kosher salt, and some other herbs and spices. i prefer to pan sear my steak and then finish it under the broiler. i like it medium well too.

au jus is pretty good for steak sauce. no, take that back, pan gravy.

I used to loooove and drool over steak... but now I never crave it. When I'm at a restaurant and there's steak, I almost always order something else. Steak just doesn't appeal to me anymore.
