I've adapted it to my blog and I love it!!! (changed the buttons, and images, but the script is the same..)

Ah, its nice that you enjoy the layout but perhaps PM the artist of the layout and give her a thanks that way

Just go to her profile:

and scroll down near the bottom and there should be a link to PM them

Also any questions towards the layout and altering it perhaps ask the artist about it in the PM since they would know best.

You definitely should've asked permission, before changing the image/buttons.
And I see that you posted here already, which is good. Just wait patiently for a response.
