Not even. It wasn't anything spectacular. Just because it's Green Day, everyone adores it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Green Day. I'm not just not afraid to admit when they get awards that they really don't deserve.

Then again, what else can we expect from MTV? Every award show they put out is just another distorted popularity contest.

i loved r. kelly's performance! i thought it was interesting and new. i CANT believe green day won so many f**king awards. MCR won NONE!

and i think it's hilarious that the people that voted for "American Idiot" for viewer's choice are all like "OMG I LOVE AMERICAN IDIOT!" when they're really republicans. they dont even no what the song means.

at first i thought hilary duff's dress was see through because it was skin colored...lindsay lohan for some reason had a costume change. she came on the red carpet with an animal print dress which was ugly but the thing she wore to present...what the hell?

Greenday deserved every award they won, they waited 5 or 6 years to release a new album, and it was worth it, American Idiot is one of the best albums of the year.

I will agree with you that My Chemical Roamnce should have won over Fallout Boy with their video because they put so much time into what they do, and they really do create amazing music videos, unlike a stupid antler boy. (i like the song for fallout boy, not the vid though)

Okay, I am a Green Day fan and all, and I really liked the American Idiot album, but seriously, I don't think they deserved to take home all the awards that they did. =[ Helena was a much better video than Boulevard of Broken Dreams, imo. Also, I think Kanye West should've taken the award for video of the year.

I am disappointed that MCR didn't take home any awards. I was shocked when Fall Out Boy won the MTV2 award. Wth...I didn't like their Sugar We're Going Down video at all. And the choreography in Hollaback Girl really wasn't that great.

this year vma's were boring.....
they did it in miami again so it looked the same as last year
and no one really arrrived in yaugts (god help me...i dunno how to spell)

but the performances were ok
fall out boy didnt do too well
lead singer barely sang right
but he kicked ass on the guitar

green day kicked the most ass though
all the effects were amazing too..

rest of show-
the whole show was based on rap (which i think is ok..)
and they coulda put more rock in it...
maybe cause p diddy hosted it...

Like most have said already..I really wanted My Chemical Romance to win an award. Ah, well. I didn't really like the show this year..something was missing, but whatever. I enjoyed the performances..but not the Ludacris one as much.

i loved her screaming also. it gave me goosebumps. she screams pretty good for being Kelly Clarkson. (teehee)

I honestly don't think Green Day deserved some of their titles. They've been pissing me off lately, don't ask why. I think it's because their videos aren't that great.

No, not really. To be honest, MCR's song and video meant more than Boulevard of Broken Dreams. MCR should've won Viewers Choice Awards, Best Rock Video, and Video Of The Year. I just think Green Day deserved SOME of the awards they won.

I've never liked the VMA's. Not neccessarily all awards shows, but mostly just MTV's VMAs. To me, its just an anonymous medium of all the ignorance and celebrity-worship in the world. I have more important things to do. Like floss.
