i downloaded alot of brushes, but i can't use them cus of two reasons
1. everytime i click on the color, it comes out as a pattern. how can i make the patterns go away? do i like, check something off?
2. when i "clone stamp tool" and try to play around brushes a pop up comes up saying "could not use the clone stamp because the area to clone has not been defined. (alt + click to define a source point).
whenever i press alt and click, this arrow like.. crosshair comes up and it doesn`t do anything.
help? :(

Ok for the pattern thing: Look up at the top of the screen, there will be a drop down menu where it says foreground or pattern. Choose foreground for color.

Now for the clone stamp. You alt + click and you drag the mouse... and then once you have the area cloned then you just do a normal click drag.

did that make any sense?

i did it, and it kinda worked, thanks.

but i have another question;
it`s in RGB && i selected orange for the color and splatter as the brush,
except, the brush IS splatter, but the color is grey.
it`s not even in grayscale though.

take a picture of your settings and double check it might be in index mode.
it could be in index if its not in grayscale.
