I have spent the last few days looking for the best antivirus and firewall. I wanted an antivirus with a high detection rate and light on resources. Also, a solid firewall.
I used to have Norton Internet Security 2005 antispyware edition, but it was a resource hog and caused my comp to freeze up sometimes. So, I just uninstalled it. For the next two weeks, I tried ZoneAlarm Security Suite because it recieved good reviews. However, it had taken quite a while to load at the taskbar when booting and the antivirus was said to have poor/low detection rates.
Some of the most recomended/popular antivirus programs that I found were:
- AVG
- AntiVir
- Kaspersky
- NOD32
- Avast
Some of the most recomended/popular firewalls that I found were:
- Kerio
- ZoneAlarm Pro
- Sygate
Which Antivirus and Firewall would you recomend?

The best defense is not getting spyware or viruses in the first place.
But it's always best to be prepared.
Spybot, AVG for me.

I have McAfee but it kinda blows balls.
My friends you Kaspersky and say it's good, though.

I'm not sure of the "best" one.
But Norton has to be the worst.

None of the antivirus/firewalls listed above are nor even "good", the one and only with the best engine and best ways to protect you in anykind of problem/issue's is the McAfee , is has all tools in the same engine,
AntiVirus - VirusScan
AntiHacker - Personal Firewall Plus
AntiAbuse - Privacy Services
AntiSpam - SpamKiller
the one and only, The Best.
PS:All antiviruses/firewalls are GOOD if you know how to use them and if you know how to setup them for your own Operating Sistem.
