all i know about adobe

-starting
when you start using adobe,you dont see anything because you have to go to file new,choose your size and resoloution.

-tools
when you start,there is a tool box which you can choose from.you can choose the marquee shapes,polygonal lasso,or the magic wand*why i like this program*.there are tons more.when you paste you go to edit,paste(lol which everyone knows)or you can push ctrl+v.

-magic wand tool
when using the magic wand,you always see the backround color or image and pictures right?you can use one click and a push to delete the whole backround,if the tolerance is high(lol).when you click and you only get a piece of the color(piece selected ),you can always hold shift and click more to add more selction.

-lasso tool
lasso is the same as the magic wand but you use this to select by moving the mouse and you can get the exact amount of image of choice.this isnt my favorite tool(my opinion).and of course you can hold shift and keep selecting more.

-Marquee tools
these are just shapes.you can use the shape,move it over a picture and delete or fill in,for exa:i use a circle marquee over a south park eye image,i fill in the circle with red so when you look at the image,the eye is red.or you can move the shape over the image and delete.

-bandage tool
i am very sorry but i dont have any info except that its a healing tool.

-crop tool
i am very sorry but i dont have any info on this tool.

-shapes tool
shapes are just well making shapes with the color in them but you have to choose a color.

-custom shape tool
i dont think you can customize a shape but you can choose 250 shapes for exa:a talk bubble or an animal.

-eyedropper tool
use the eye dropper and move it on top of a color of an image.like red of a blood drop.if you want the exact color of the blood then you use the eyedropper and click over the color.then on your color selector part of the tool box,they show the exact color of the blood.

-magnifier tool
you know what it does.read the description.and it can demagnify.

-hand tool
use this to grab the image and move around the image.for exa:a barbie picture as big as your screen in front of you ,you wanna look directly at the face when you magnified it at the toes so you use the hand and pull up to the face part of the image.[CODE]Kinda like climbing rocks to get to the cliff.

-notes tool

-pen tool

-horizontal type tool

-patch and direct selection tool

-dodge tool
i only used this tool once so i when i used it on megaman,the color of him turned brighter.

-blur smudge and sharpen tool
blur and smudge are like the same thing.you use the marquee over the image you wanna smudge , next you use the tools and smudge or blur the part of the image you want . the sharpen tool well, i am very sorry but i dont have any info about this tool

-eraser,magic erase and backround eraser tool
the eraser erases and the magic eraser eraser the whole color of an image.for exa:a monkey image has brown eyes,i use the magic eraser on the monkeys eyes and the whole color of the monkeys eyes dissapear.and the backround eraser i am very sorry but i dont have any info about this tool but maybe you can read the name to help you figure what it is.

-clone tool
i am very sorry but i dont have any info about this tool but i know it clones but i forgot all about how to use it.

-history brush
i am very sorry but i dont have any info about this tool but read the name

-paint brush tool

-slice tool

err.. i think its great you're trying to give back to the community and all, but half the stuff you've listed, you dont know what it is...

photoshop comes with a help file... all the tools functions are listed on there probably

but here:

crop tool - it crops your images

custom shape tool - make your own shapes by clicking around... its just like drawing something on paint.

blur smudge and sharpen tool - not the same thing. when u blur, you're kinda blowin up the pixels that you're selecting.. when ur smudging, it moves pixels around as you move the cursor. the sharpen tool makes things more detailed.. sharper.

pen tool - use this to draw. it makes drawing curves a lot easier than just using the pencil tool

horizontal type tool - self explanatory. it types horizontally.

dodge and burn tools - dodge makes things brighter. burn makes things darker.

notes tool - i think this just lets u make little notes for yourself.. like little reminders..post its.


also, when you're starting up... for color mode, choose CMYK if you are printing the document out on paper. choose RGB if you're only going to view it on your comp (like on the internet or something). if you're making a banner for xanga, you would choose RGB

um, i kno ur tryin 2 b helpful, and give back, but wut wuz the point of that...?

Because some people say there going to start getting it so i just want to help the people that are new at it.just how to use some of the tools.but i dont know some.(lol) plus i was bored and did you see all my posts?i havent helped any one for a long time.so its time i started again.
