Because they're already staff!!! Someone who is already on staff and has proven themselves long enough is, of course, worthy of a promotion over someone who hasnt moderated for cB.

People can also prove themselves in different ways other than being a staff member. Posts count..and how they just generally act.

Sometimes I just feel that mods kind of get too much glory. Yes they have power, but still. There are other people.

Umm. Probably a design staff isn't necessary. We just need dedicated members (like Kristina and Shauna who are already into this thing) who supervise the forum. Not moderate it, just supervise. And if anything happens, they'll just PM a mod who is online at the moment.

Well I just want to make sure it's neat and organized..and there isn't anything inappropriate and/or stupid.

I think people should submit them..and then before they're posted..they have to be okayed.

I don't think an entire staff is nessicary, but there should be one or two more mods picked out. Like Kristina said, I don't want anything stupid on there...or jocked. Even if the mod(s) only mod that one place. Or they should be looked at before they are submitted, just like the websites, because honestly, no crappy 2 sec smile faces should be on there. That's just my opinion though.

I totally agree with you. One person needs to be fully dedicated to this. They need to review the submissions and post up the ones that make it.

Whoever get's in charge has to be non-biased, hard..but at least have an open mind.

I'm assuming that if this idea is accepted then it will be moderated by either design staff (once there are some) head staff, xanga, livejournal or myspace staff, seeing as how they also moderate programming, webdesign and digital art.

Well this is my baby (along with Kristina's), so if it gets finalized, and I get my post count up, I want to help mod this. Not that I am using this as an excuse...but I did come with it.

Kristina should get to mod it also, she was in this at the beginning with me.

Many people have contributed great ideas to cB. With that said, its great that you thought the idea, however, just because you did doesnt mean you automatically become a mod for it. Even if you submit more layouts or whatever, being a mod for cB requires alot more than just that. If you are deemed qualifed ( after going through the motions of applying) then you are modded and its not just for one area. Thats just how cB works, you have to earn a spot as mod.

Yes, I know. Working on getting to be qualified at this moment. I know that there is more than post counts needed to become a mod. I was just stating that as to show how much I REALLY WNAT TO MOD IT!
