Im going to have my first FEMALE PHYSICAL this friday, and i am preetttyyy nervous . Im pretty sure that other girls here have gone through it too, but i was just uh... wondering if i could maybe... uh.. hear some reassurance that it isnt as bad as i think it is.... if there is any...lol..hehh....

you have nothing to worry about unless you're sexually active i suppose

it's basically like a checkup. i was worried the first time i got mine too. you have to have one if you're going to be in a sport in school. it's not that bad. you'll be fine!

I know that's usually the benchmark, but after some reading and a confirmation from my doctor, it's best to see a gyno as soon as a girl turns 18.

all they do is check your heat beat..take your blood pressure, make you pee in a cup, weigh you, ask you some questions, and then check your pubic area. tahts pretty much it. no blood or anyting. yay.

Oh, physicals. It's nothing bad at all. I do it every year because I always join school sports.
Check blood pressure, check your height/weight, it's nothing really. They don't touch you..

anyway, i was scared when i had to get mine too, but all i did was concentrate on the doctor's voice because they have to explain every single thing that they're going to do to you. Somehow it kind of made things easier. By the time the say, "Ok next i'm going to.." i was like, "Whoa they're already done with that other step?"

You have to put your legs up in stirrups so you are fully exposed... down there... and then to do certain tests they insert a swab, or sometimes a small small razor blade to get cell samples from your uteran walls. They also check your breasts for cancer... thats not really bad thought... but It feels kind of weird having some person exploring your nether regions. If you are nervous... it will be worse. So stay calm.

You probably only need one if your sexually active, or when you turn 18. But yea, I JUST had mine and i was really nervous, but trying to stay calm. She used some thing to open me up down there and used like 3 swabs to scrape inside, it didnt hurt or anything, it was just uncomfortable to have some OLD LADY tell you "okay, now im going to stick my fingers in"

It was reallly wierd! but after you have one, you have to keep getting them once a year

I would feel pretty uncomfortable as well but I wouldn't worry that much unless you were sexually active.
