no offense, but that is NOT tissue paper. Its not the right texture. Tissue paper isnt that soft, and can not possibly stay that non crinkly. and the leaves and stem are real, and so are the petals. Sorry to burst your bubble

that's beautiful ... it almost looks real .... I've seen things like that in Fancy World. Fancy World is kind of like a Sanrio Store in a mall near where I live ...

if you look at the edges of the petals, you can see how the paper is frayed from being cut with scissors...There are different weights of papers...so it may be a thicker type of tissue paper.
Look up a book titled Paper Sculpture...the pics in their are so realistic looking but there are some examples of how these things are made. They are very amazing and some sell for thousands of dollars.

one, this is old.
two, the second on is fabric. you can tell by the lines and the frayed edges.
three, you can buy those at any store.

That's tissue paper? It looks so realistic. You have some skills there.

Exactly what I was thinking. The second flower does not look anything like tissue, and it looks professionally made. The creases are like those you would find in fabric. And you said you "got to work", but the date at the bottom of your camera is still on September 16. The first one is real. There's even a thorn on the stem. This is what a tissue flower looks like:

OMG Those are beautiful!!!!!
Very artistic.
I don't think I can do anything with tissue paper....
cept rip it, those gnarly things.
unless they are all fake, and you bought them or something.
Then I feel better about myself, haha

Apr 14 2006, 11:37 AM
the first one looks bought. You can't get different colored paper as one piece... that's impossible, unless it was dyed. Which can't work. And you can tell that the second one is fabric.

Wow. that's amazing. I'd like to learn how to do that.
