i downloaded brushes, but everytime i try to use them, i can`t choose a color cus i have this.. pattern kinda thing.
it's realyl annoying but i odn't know how to get rid of the pattern.
help?

click the brush tool on the tool bar.
click the drop down arrow where it says brush.
click the little arrow in the right hand corner.
then choose your brush that way.

i got the brush part down, but i don`t know how to get rid of that pattern thing.
it wont let me choose a color

I don't know why you've got a screenshot of the clone brush settings... The brush tool is the tool that looks like a paintbrush. Click onthat and see what happens.
