I prefer girls that don't wear make-up. Sometimes girls put a lot of make-up that make them look pretty and then when they take it off it's just eh, u know? Then there's some girls who try to put too much.

I know some people who prefer them with make-up though.

Not a big fan of make-up. I mean it can look nice, but many girls usually put too much on and they just look like clowns, and clowns aren't sexy.

make-up looks good if you apply it
correctly. the point of make-up is to accentuate your features and make you look better....not make you look like you're trying too hard or anything...
havent you seen on those make-over shows?....the big improvement between before and after is the correct application of make-up.
i do agree that some girls put on too much...and given the choice between a girl with too much makeup or none...i'd say the girls with none look prettier....but given the choice between a girl that knows how to use make-up the right way and a girl wearing none....personally i think the girl who properly uses make-up looks better...that's the
purpose of make-up
but yeah. lol sorry...i know i shouldnt be replying to this post because i'm a girl.

Ah! I was about to say this. You guys probably can't tell most of the time when a girl is wearing makeup as long as they apply it correctly. You'd just think she had longer eyelashes and even skin or whatever.

I mean, I'm in band, and the Colorguard will usually not wear make up and such because they'd just sweat it off. After break they might, but I usually can tell.

Okay, so you have a person. This person wishes to attract other people of the opposite sex to them. Instead of showing their true selves, they choose to wear a mask. This produces better results on a very basic level for attracting mates, because the mask is more interesting than just a normal face. This basic level of attraction isn't based in truth about the mask wearer. This basic attraction cuts out the whole getting to know you part outright, and immediately. Instead of the opposite sex choosing this mask wearer for it's personality, it chooses it for sexual appeal only, and will just fill in the gaps after they have made their choice on this.
Very basic psychology. If people were looking for love, rather than sex, they would choose to not wear a mask, as the mask only attracts those who want sex, and bases a relationship on a lie.

so mask=makeup? i disagree with you there. i don't know if guys know why girls wear makeup, but it's NOT to fool anyone into thinking you look a certain way. it's to ACCENTUATE YOUR FEATURES and ENHANCE NATURAL BEAUTY. there's nothing fake about that. girls wear makeup for the reasons they take care of their hair and style it: to feel confident in their appearance. it's true that confidence=sex appeal, but the whole beauty routine and obsession stems from the duty we have to take care of our appearance. think about it: if a girl brushes her hair and uses styling products and conditioner, does this make her fake? is she wearing a "mask" because she's trying to take care of her hair? makeup is the same principle.
now i understand if you prefer girls who don't wear makeup because they feel CONFIDENT enough in their natural beauty already, but makeup is not a mask. it's maintance.
and if people were looking for love rather than sex, shouldn't they also be able to look past simple issues like makeup or no makeup?

According to your theory of makeup being an enhancement and accent of natural means: BREAST IMPLANTS "ACCENTUATE YOUR FEATURES and ENHANCE NATURAL BEAUTY". Girls who stuff their bras are accentuating their features for the goal of enhancing their natural beauty. There's a whole lot of fake that comes with that, in my opinion. All that a girl really, truly needs to attract a mate is some common sense, a shower, and a good personality.
On hair, I like natural hair. Washed and brushed is different than completely styled and chemically treated. I will make the contention that yes, if a girl spent more time than getting a nice haircut, washing, and brushing her hair that she's doing the same thing as she was with the makeup. Cleaning yourself is different than wearing a mask to cover yourself up.
I look past the makeup every day in my area. Do you know what I see? Girls that have ill intentions, and no will or reason in their minds to change them. They hide and cover them up, just to spring them on people who can't see through their masks. All of my girlfriends, even before I believed that there was anything wrong with wearing makeup, either were girls that didn't wear makeup, or wore such minimal makeup that it didn't change their natural appearance more than just making their skin less greasy looking (which really didn't matter anyway). Why? Because they had better personalities than all the other girls. Instead of focusing on your physical beauty, try focusing on your inner beauty. If you have a great deal of inner beauty, you really don't need any makeup to find the guy that you want. A good personality goes a long way with the right people.

what do breast implants have to do with makeup? obviously breast implants imply that a person can be shallow or has some superficial intentions. but there's a huge difference between wearing a little eyeliner and getting plastic surgery.
i have no problem with what you're saying, it's just that you're analyzing the personalities of girls who wear makeup and putting them into a separate box of girls who aren't your "type" (no makeup). isn't that a little superficial? what gives you the right to tell us that girls who wear makeup have better personalities than girls who don't?

what you're doing is judging people soley on how they look (wearing makeup). isn't that exactly what you condemn girls who wear makeup of doing?

No, no, you've taken me wrong. I was making an observation based on my experiences that has told me that the girls who wore makeup always had something to hide, in contrast to the girls who didn't wear makeup that never really hid anything. I was also making the observation that it isn't such a great thing to, if you're looking for someone who is interested in your personality, to accentuate your sexuality, due to the fact that it is more likely to attract those who are only interested in your sexuality.
You seem to be taking this as a personal attack, and I'm sorry for that. I know where you're coming from, thinking that I'm a terrible person who is discriminating against girls who wear make-up and all, but it's really just an incompatibility with our schools of thought. I am doing the exact opposite of what you believe me to be doing. I judge people on their personalities primarily, and I observe that their choice in how they present themselves externally, reflects that. You don't have to believe it, I'm not trying to convince you to not wear makeup, I'm just making an observation based on past experiences.
Also, please don't think that the reason that I choose a mate is based on their preference to either wear make up or not, as that is blatantly false. I choose a mate based on personality, and through my personal experiences and preferences in personality, the girls who didn't wear the make-up were the ones that ended up correctly matched for me. I don't even think about whether someone wears make up or not when I'm personally trying to get to know them. It's not a factor unless I consider it to be to make a case on it, as I have here.
O_o... I hope that clears up any confusion?

I have to agree with whoever said it. If a girl doesn't apply their makeup correctly, it's so .. ehhh. This girl I know at school put WAYYY too much eyeliner on, and it pisses the hell out of me. And truethfully I don't think blonde girls should be wearing black eyeliner or mascar... maybe a light brown? hello? People notice that.. the blakc stands out against blonde hair.
Me? I usually alwys have lip gloss on. It's so my lips don't get dry, crusty, and chapped. It looks good. Sometimes I'l wear light eyeshadow... my skin color.. cause Idon't want it so stand out so much. And really, the only time I wear mascara and eyeliner, is when I get dressed up.

Actually, wearing make-up doesn't make you fake. Make-up can be worn as art sometimes too. Plus, some people might have freckles or birth marks on their face that they just want to cover up with some foundation. And people like Christina Aguilera might just not feel comfortable and confident without make-up if she looks ugly under it. Whatever makes people feel better about themselves you know? But I only wear eyeshadow, mascara, and eye liner. Foundation and all that just makes your face worst. It's all about looking natural.
