from your idea of what ninja and samurai, what would u pick?

I pick Ninja.

I would have to go with ninjas cause I think they are cooler.

Ninja - it's easier to spell. :)

samurai. I like saying it. and it reminds me of the last samurai in which tom cruise starred in, so yeah.

Samurai. It's all about the honor...hell yeah.

Ninjas can be a subset of samurai, so you could conceivably be both.

but they take that too far... committing suicide in their ritualistic style just because you couldn't finish a mission is a tad much...everyone makes mistakes.


ninjas aren't really that cool either, like in that one episode with zabuza and that boy who looks likes a girl. sakura said that one of the ninja sayings is that you can't show emotion. i'd never want to be an emotionless tool.


both are pretty sucky...but i guess i'd choose ninja...

Shinobi... Because I find it's really hard to say "ninja" and "samurai" in Japanese without sounding stupid. And shinobi just sounds cool.

ninja swords are shorter and katanas are SO HEAVY. i have one. it's not so great for stealth.
i'd probably be a ninja, since i don't want to bow to my katana before using it, and seppuku/seppukku however it's spelled is just not my thing.

Being a ninja doesn't necessarily avoid seppuku; some ninjas were samurai.

From everything I know about Samurai's and Ninja's (I know a lot, I used to be a big Samurai//Ninja nerd and did a lot of research)

I would most definitely live the way of a Ninja. Do whatever it takes to get the job done, I don't want to live life through a sword.

I love swords... but I rather by a ninja than a samurai >.<; I don't know, but I think ninja is safer than samurai, right? hehe

They both live such dangerous lives. Ninja's live in stealth and secret identities so I guess they are particularly safer. Samurai's were so powerful, well depending on the skill levels of each. It really all depends.

Ninjas, recently, I've been so into Naruto.

Perhaps a few did, but it certainly would not have been a regular occurence. Many ninjas actually were samurai who did their ninja work in disguise.

(Just for the record, this information is not pulled out of nowhere; I studied Japanese literature for a semester. In fact, the class I took was actually called "The Japanese Warrior in Literature", so we covered the history of the samurai in great detail.)

I would pick..uhmm....ninja, because they are more about stealth and sneakiness and than head on battle, and they have those ninja stars that they throw which is pretty cool.
