I read Catcher in the Rye. That book was kinda weird to me. Like how it ended and all. The book was short so that was cool. I had to read that for my English 11 CP class.

I know a lot of people who read Black Boy and they seemed to like it. I've read part of Catcher in the Rye and what I read was hilarious. But then again, I was still at that age where any cursing in books made me laugh, like I was naughty for reading it.

I read Catcher in the Rye for fun because I'm not a sophomore. Ah, I personally, really liked Catcher in the Rye. Throughout the book I kept reading, waiting for that one chapter that would make the book all worthwhile....The main character, Holden, he hates everything...But, at the end it gets a bit better && I sorta just ended up liking it. Haven't read Black Boy...sorry.

i have no idea what that is. What's it about?
I read it in 9th. It has to do with the Salem Witch trials. Actually, a girl 'witness' some 'strange' things and reported it and innocents were put on trials... anyway, it was an interesting read about how people's fears consume their senses.

I read Catcher in 9th grade, but I didn'r really like it. All Holden did was complain about EVERYTHING
This Summer I have to read a book called Cat's Cradle, and I have no idea what it's about.

well, i finished the catcher in the rye.....didn't really get it. All Holden did was comlain. There was no real structure for the book. Anyway, halfway done with black boy. wonders79, you're right, it is very emotional. I love it, it has so much depth.
