Will Smith's production company are negotiating with Victory Records to film a reality show about BURY YOUR DEAD and WICKED WISDOM touring the country. Will Smith has been caught in the pit during the former's opening and closing track 'Mosh N' Roll' on various stops on OZZFEST 2005.

things are getting hilarious. if you didn't know, Jada Pinkett Smith is in a band called Wicked Wisdom. they're on Ozzfest this year, as are Bury Your Dead.

the fresh prince is bustin heads. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Oh so that's why she's invited there because she's in a band. Omg... that's FREAKING weird. WHA? no way. EW NO WAY! Well it's ok... but... umm.... will smith, hiphop rapper. jade pinkett smith ---- rock singer? ROFL!! doesnt match.

UHHH....IS THAT TRUE?

If so then that's amazing and I have a new respect for Will Smith...I love it when races get together like this. It makes me smile.

It makes me believe that THERE IS A DAY WHEN BLACK PEOPLE CAN LISTEN TO ROCK MUSIC WITHOUT BEING FROWNED UPON.

holy crappers. NEVER IN A THOUSAND YEARS WOULD I HAVE IMAGINED WILL SMITH AS A HEAD BANGER. Wow, that's really.....weird and disturbing.

I watched "Headbanger's Ball" on Saturday and they showed footage of Will Smith singing and headbanging with his wife on stage...I don't know, I'm kinda opposed to Wicked Wisdom being on Ozzfest, but hey, if that's what the Osbournes wanted on the tour, then so be it....

I just can't see Bury Your Dead/ Wicked Wisdom going together on a show or a tour....weird shit....

However, I agree with a previous post that Wicked Wisdom and Will Smith's presence at Ozzfest will probably bridge a gap and allow more minority people to enter the rock/metal/hardcore scenes...

Other bands are doing this as well, though...such as:

Killswitch Engage
Skindred
Sevendust
Love Equals Death
and I'm sure there's some others that I'm missing.
technicolour
Ha ha. That's just hilarious. No clue why though...
beambitious
Wow this is really a first. Interesting...

more: suffocation, sepultura, god forbid, zao, yellowcard
antix10_kos
well, does Sepultura count for sure though?? They're from Brazil, and I don't think that any of the are really black, just really dark-skinned Brazilians that look black...I forgot all about God Forbid....Zao, there's another one that I forgot, probably because I don't listen to them much....Yellowcard, come on, I don't think they even deserve to be on the same list as Suffocation, Sepultura, Zao and other decent bands.... wink.gif

it wasn't a list of decent bands, though. it was a list of bands that have black guys in them and, therefore, are breaing the racail barrier in music.

last time i checked, Sepultura had a black singer. we also forgot POD's bassist. and how did we overlook In Living Color? who else?

The Mars Volta -- not just a black person, but hispanic people as well. this band's a mixing pot.

And then there's TV On The Radio -- black band, I don't know how to describe their sound though

If the bands are allowed to be crappy ones, then let's include Lenny Kravitz.

Jimi Hendrix should be on here somewhere too.

Bad Brains -- finally a punk band in the midst

Hootie and the Blowfish is another one of those "if we count Yellowcard and POD, then we have to count these guys...." bands

Dave Matthews Band -- people tend to forget there are people besides Dave Matthews in it.

Prince and the Revolution -- yeah, Prince is a debatable one....but he's still black, by some amount.

Bloc Party -- has a black member

Ben Harper -- guitar pop guy

King's X - metal/rock band

That's all for now....
