LOL... hahahaha.
Okay sweety, getting your period does not mean you are mature. Trust me, I'm 20 years old and I've seen many immature adults.
Maturity has to do with physical development as much as mental development. Ever seen adults gossip or a child advise an adult? I've seen both.
Don't be jealous of what comes with age. Meaning, your friend's period is something you'll experience as you get older. It is inevitable. It's more important that you mature mentally, in my opinion.
And if your friend tries too hard to be mature, that act alone says she's immature.
And to answer the topic question, I've never been jealous of someone for having a period before.

Don't be jealous because you don't have your period. In my opinion, having my period sucks. lol. Most of my friends had their period around that time . . don't let it phase you, you'll get it eventually

I think Fae said it pretty well. It's mental development that makes you mature, not when you have your period. Having your period just means you're capable of getting pregnant and nothing more. It's an inevitable cycle of the female body and has nothing to do with one's mentality. She's immature, it seems, that she's trying to rub it in your face that she's gotten her period and you haven't.

tell your friend that period sucks! it means you can't do certain stuff, you have mood swings, and you can kleak during school where everyone will see a red stain on your pants, and cramps will hurt you soo much

period definately doesn't mean you're mature...plus, this just means she has to suffer longer. fourth grade is pretty young to have your period. Be glad you don't have it

hell, i wouldn`t be jealous. just because her body matured faster than mine doesn`t make herself as a person mature.

umm who the hell would be jealous? i mean if you really did have it, it hurts alot at times or little, you get more pimples, some gain weight, your mood changes, you have to wear a pad which feels like diaper, and you have to cross your legs or close them so the awful smell doesnt come out. so dont be jealous of her okay? she just got it faster, i mean do you really want that? haha well yeah i got mine in m.s. so dont worry lots of people are different and most do get it in m.s.

she should be jealous of you, having your period doesnt make you mature. lets use your friend for a clear example: she isnt acting mature going around bragging about sumthing most girls dread
she should only be proud she has it, if shes wants to go get pregnant or sumthing lol

haha dont be jealous.. once you get it you'll wish you didn't have it anymore just bc it's such a hassle for me at least.. bad cramps, feel totally uncomfortable, dealing w/ pads & tampons, just feel like you dont even want to do anything.. ugh i hate that time of the month. so enjoy being a kid.. dont rush into growing up [i know that sounds soo cliche but seriously.. i miss the days of being a little kid and im only 15] having your period doesn't mean you're mature at all

Don't be jealous of that. I mean it sucks q_q; enjoy the time when you can: have a dip in the pool, wear white pants! And I just got mine a few months ago. I'm 13 =)

...whaaaaaaaaaaat ...girl you are going to regret taht... cause i got mine in 8th grade.. and people were always saying "omg!! your so lucky!!" ..i never understood why... my crramps are REALLY bad.. and i throw up on the first day ...and i get madd backaches =P
..and even IF you cramps and symptoms aren't that bad, it still uncomfortable.. it feels like you wet your pants for the first times ..haha

I got jealous of my friends when they had theirs. They were talking about their first times, and I was wishing I could relate. Weeks later, I got mine. I hate/love irony.
It sucks though, you feel so bloated sometimes. On some periods, I don't even eat.

She'll regret acting the way she did. Haha believe me. She'll be short btu that was laready stated. Anyways, my friend got hers in 4th but she didn't act mature & all. She should cool down. She's not the only one to get it early. I've never gotten jealous. I'm going into 7th (12 yrs. old) now, but I got mine in 5th. I was happy, yeah, but I didn't make a big thing out of it. Anyways, just ignore her and enoy your period-free life for now!

you shouldn't be jealous. i think 4th grade is a little too early to have your period... and if she goes around telling people they might think she's weird or sick anyway (elementary kids

)

That's immature to think you're " so mature and cool" Just because an egg is making it's way through your reproductive system.
edit//
If she wasn't my friend I would go "hey honey, if you're so mature why don't you put that egg to use eh?". Don't be like that though since there's probably second graders on that hall. Well, there was in my fourth grade, and the preschoolers too. Naptime.

no, i never got jealous i just wondered why i haven't came. but if you have it too young it just proves how ready your body is to be sexually active which to me is bad. i rather start at a normal age than too young. it has to do with the foods we eat and also how much you are exposed to sexuality in this society which is alot. it only shows her body is mature not her in general.
