ok....so this guy i like asked me to go to the movies...thing is, my mom doesnt drive anywhere at night, and my dad works at night...well if i ask my dad to go with a guy....do you think he'll say yes? my dads been nagging on me about not hanging out with friends...so why would he say no? and if my dad does say yes, my mom will probably have to take me. any suggestions how to ask my dad...ways to persuade him?

just ask him and if he says no, tell him to trust you

prove to your dad you can be trusted, and just ask straight up. That makes it way easier to persuade them later if they say now, and it shows you can be responsible and talk with them openly

your parents both seem to be unable to drive you anywhere at night, why don't you ask that guy who asked you out to give you a ride?

if he can't drive then do some carpool thing with him, you both are going to the movies together, it's the same destination.

just ask. that's it.

and if he says no... you could either:


1.) go scarface on him - "@#%$!!!!!!!!!!"

OR

2.) ask mom. "moooom... dad won't let me blah blah blah"

OR

3.) bribe him? "i'll tell mom about the truth about your 'business trips' "

OR

4.) reason with him. "i promise i'll clean the pool, wash the dishes, etc etc etc"

OR

5.) elope "i hate you guys! *runs away*"

OR

6.) LIE "i'm spending the night at mary-sue's house, mmk?"
