wat is the difference between soul mate and the love of your life?

I think a soul mates is someone who is like you; who completes you.. love of your life is just someone you love VERY much.. :P a soulmate can be a friend too, so i'd choose a soulmate :P

--a soulmate is someone that you have a bonding relationship with--almost as if you're one person. you share common interests and is definitely a person you can talk to anytime--since you have so much in common.

--but a lover shares what a soulmate doesn't. intimacy. now if love of my life means the same person for the rest of my life, i'd definitely choose that because, although a soulmate is someone i can share a conversation with at any time, a lover is someone i can express myself to (psychologically, mentally, romantically, and even sexually).

A soulmate is someone that is perfectly compatable with you, someone you can spend the rest of your life with. It can either be a friend or some romantic partner.
The love of your life is someone whom you will always love for the rest of your life; whether they love you back is different. However, if the love is reciprocal, then they could also be your soulmate.
I believe that I have already found my soulmate, who is also the love of my life.

Soul mate - I personally think that you don't have control over this one. A soul mate is someone you were made for, a soul mate is someone who you are destined to be with, as final as that sounds. He/she is the one that complements you in every way; he/she knows exactly how you feel, knows exactly how to make you happy. When united with him/her, you feel complete - you know it's him/her.

Love of your life - This one, you do have control over. The love of your life, the one that shines brighter than the others. Perhaps not a soulmate, but as close as you can get because, after all, not everyone is lucky enough to find his/her soulmate in this large world. However, this love can be unrequited, one-sided, or even just an infatuation.

I'd definitely choose a soul mate - and I have just that.
