Question: Is flirting with someone and hitting on them the same thing?

flirting and hitting on them ... depends how you define both ... to me I think that flirting is kind of like just fun not expecting anything from it.. and hitting on them is liking them alot? so.. i guess they arent the same

hmm, flirting and hitting on someone are different to me. Maybe its the same with some, but to me flirting is just to tease someone or try to get a guys/girls attention (depending what sex you are lols unless your gay/lesbian) or just being dorky/stupid with your friends. And Hitting on someone to me is that your really trying hard to impress or get that somebody to like you.

But truly, i have no clue. I mean usually if you flirt or hitt on someone..you like them..or you find intrest in them.. haha i'll just keep at that.

No. Flirting is when you're friendly and suggestive, but no promises or questions asked.
Hitting on someone is upright asking for their number or to sleep with them.

i think hitting on falls under flirting

flirting is when you're just playing around or trying to hint your interest lightly, however hitting on someone is when you just outright make your interest obvious.

i think it's different. some girls are naturally flirty. and they dont mean to be. whlie hitting on it's like you know you're doing it, and you're hoping the guy gets attracted by it and gets interested in you. while flirting is like you're just doing it, not expecting anything big...
