hello, i have a problem with checkered boxes.

i wanna learn how to make checkered boxes without just using transparent and just doing a print screen.

i wanna learn how to make checkered boxes a little bit bigger than the transparent checkered boxes. i wanna learn how to do that and make it kinda transparent and fade into the background. does anyone get wat im saying..? well anyone plz help with this. thank you!!
