I just heard that London will host the Olympics in 2012.

I think that this is fantastic and should inspire a generation. My 18yo daughter agrees with me and thinks that London is just the greatest city for such an event and that this will finally help to counter the 'obesity' disease that every single Western country is suffering from.

So get off your butts and go play some sport. Work that ass baby!

Summer 2012: See the Olympics and the Reading Festival without having to leave the UK!

BOOOOO!!!! ......noo offense to europeans but i wanted NYC to win ..it woudlve been perfect for us here .....i have too much NYC pride in me . ....its All because off the Effing State Board up in Albany .....they had to ruin stadium plans did they .....

I was excited, but I was really disappointed about France. Oh, well. The Olympics are always awesome.

Well, I would've preferred if NYC won, because then I would definitely go. But it's cool that London got it, congrats to them. I'll probably go to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing though.
