unfortunately, this thread is part of cbnews, so it is an internal thing. controversy links to an external website, which is advertising.
I can remove the links u know. someone could have suggested that first. and I said I couldnt upload the songs cuz I dont know how. It links to a webpage. Its one page, that doesnt even scroll. all it has is a picture and the music. Isnt that a little unfair. We arent trying to get traffic to our currently nonexistent site, we are trying to get heard. We dont even sell anything on there.

First...I really love the advertising Basick did on my CD cover post...and after listening to the song, I don't know if the:
Kangsta > you
Remark was justified. I'm not much of a fan of Rap, but I'm a fan of music, and I respect any attempts at people exploring their artistic side but:
1) The mic quality sucks bro, it sounds like you recorded it with "Sound Recorder" too.
2) The volume needs to be turned way up on your singing, and way down when you decide to adjust the mic at the end of the song. If you're proud enough to generate all this hype about your songs, then at least speak up and be proud enough to showcase some of your lyrics.
3) Your rhymes aren't connecting, the flow isn't going...it's like your reading it and putting the connecting rhymes where they're supposed to be happening, but they're not. The flow gets really choppy right when you drown out. It's like your talking, not rapping.
I'm going to be nice and say good luck with everything, keep working on it and all and when you re-release it, let me know.

What the f*ck is a Kangsta
Since your just a kid and my style is not to hurt peoples feelings im just going to say you need work.
I saw the lyrics for this thread and Honestly the lyrics in the first verse wasn't really all that bad. I enjoyed that harry potter line it was very creative and I doubt people who aren't fans of hip hop really wouldt understand the complexity of that line. The second verse was okay but your Bar structure was off. Im surprised the song lasted as long as it did with the way it was constructed. I admire you kid for actually trying but like everyone has said your a little too young to write lyrics such as those. You should go with a lil bow wow approach on your songs. He doesn't use vulgar and vile language in order to bring his point across. Also you probably just learned from this song that rap is a lot harder to catch the rhythm than what most people assume when writing your lyrics. Learn how to catch and feel the rhythm of the beat. Keep working hard eventually you will learn the timing and get the hang of it.
Good Luck kid I would really find it funny if you are on the mixtape scene in the next few years. Hey anything is possible.
I also think people should stop downright dissing you until they put one of their songs on hear for everyone to hear, otherwise they should just use constructive criticism to get their point across.

lay off the grass dude, it helps.
Seriously though, for a start, your recording studio which i'm assuming is your room has lots of static noise, you might want to close all the windows and door and put lots of comforter/blanket around you room to suppress excess sound.
Secondly, get a quality mic. something like Shure KSM27 Studio Microphone, it might drain your pocket but if you're passionate about rapping/recording then, it shouldn't be a problem.
And ofcourse, please record it INTERNALLY, not the way you did it where the background music comes out of the speaker. you're losing A LOT of quality in music. There are many programs that will let you do multiple track recording. It's not hard to learn. like
Audacity which can be mastered in a day or two
Don't give up, we all start small but do progress or people will still laugh at you.

its interesting. the beat is chill, but theres a lack of emotion as u rap. it sounds like ur jsut talking to music. and the flow of ur rap seemed a lil off of the beat in the music. imo
when u do any type of performance, u have 2 tap into that passion, the emotion that gives a song the umph so that the audience can get a sense that u actually mean wat ur performing.
