im asian. i have dark dark brown hair.
i was wondering about dying it a different color. what do you think??
i was either going to do highlights that were red or blue
OR whole dyed head a lighter color brown
does anyone know how this looks?

I had golden streaks put into my dark dark brown hair. I'm asian as well and the barbers' reccomendation was this color. Believe me, it looks AWESOME. Red or blue would just look entirely unnatural. I say you go with gold or brown for highlights. If you're going to change all of your hair, I'd go with a dark brown that's similar to the color you have right now. If it looks choppy and unnatural, it's not adding any beauty.

I'm asian and I used to have dark dark brown hair. I dyed it lighter brown color and it came out red.

i would say get some red in it. my friend went to Korea for Christmas, and when she came back to school her hair was a deep red. it was so pretty!

Topic: Dying hair
Me: *honestly thinks* Woah, so the hair on your head can die????
...oh god
Yeaaa anyway. I think it looks cuter if you dye the whole head a lighter brown, kinda like what BoA had at one point:

Why don't you post a pic so that it's easy to see what would look best and what your style is?
But I know that an awesome look is dying the hair underneath blue.

uhh I dunno what some people are talking about but red or blue would look pretty hot with your dark brown hair. I'm asian too and I recently dyed my hair black with blue streaks & it looks pretty cool

caramel highlights would probably look best.
im part asian and have asian type hair, just its more brown then really dark, but anyway. i have blue streaks in it and it looks good... but um a lot of work goes into it so i wouldnt recommend it. also it doesnt look right on most people and you get funny looks haha

i think if you dye your hair blue, after a while it fades into grey -___-
red eventually turns into brownish so i guess that might be a better colour.

I have red highlights, but I'm not asian. And my hair is just dark brown, not dark dark brown.
My friend is Chinese, and she dyed her hair kind of dark, deep purplish-reddish once...
It was really pretty, but then after that she dyed it just a regular not-too-dark, not-too-light brown... it looks ordinairy.
