as long as you put the tampon in correctly it shouldn't hurt. i know it didn't for me. i used a tampon for my first period because i had a dance practice or competition or something so pads weren't an option. it didn't hurt me.

Anyways, tampons CAN break your hymen. The hymen is right up at the front of your vagina, not in the back ladies. Most girls hymens are already broken. Riding a horse can do it.

Tampons don't hurt if you put them in correctly, look at the pictures on the box.

^^ Have to agree. It hurt the first time I tried... Don't worry about it though, it's normal and you're still a virgin. Plus, it won't hurt too much the first time you have sex. And just because you start your period doesn't mean you broke your hymen.. your hymen gets broken by other ways.

some people are born without one...not having a hymen doesn't make you a non-virgin.

tampons aren't supposed to hurt. if they do, then you're probably doing something wrong.

if you put it in properly, it wouldn't hurt. but i dont use tampons cause it looks a bit uncomfortable. i stick with pads.
