if you listen to deat hmetal you could be a goth.etc so in a way music is like culture i dont know if this againest the rules so bear with my noob

Agree. And... it's not like I'm always in the same genre of the song. I love all of the genres out there. So what am I then? lol

You are multi-culutural, Susan.
Eh. I like different genres as well. It plays a big part, like Frankie said, but I don't think it's a whole culture.

music doesn't define a person's character. so many people who can be considered outside of a stereotypical class listen to another stereotypical class of music. those considered outside of let's say goth, will still listen to gothic music. but people look at them and say, "oh, they're so not goth." they point out the guy with the dark clothes and the six piercings and looks all depressed and says, "what a gothic guy. he listens to all sorts of gothic songs."
iono. u could, but a lot of times, it's not exactly true. that made no sense. i want cake now..

Music is only a culture when a person chooses to be defined by the music they listen to...such as wiggers who only listen to rap, wear the rap and street styled clothes, and talk like idiots...when they in fact live in the suburbs, have never done drugs, and don't know anything about what they're singing along to....same goes for the earlier post about assuming that just because someone has a bunch of piercings and wears all black, they must be goth...not true. My boyfriend and his friends dress like "skaters" in the baggy pants, Vans and all, and they're all into goth music and metal....
