Friend

Friend I need you now
Please take me by the hand
Stand by me in my hour of need,
take time to understand.

Take my hand dear friend,
and lead me from this place.
Chase away my doubts and fears,
Wipe the tears off my face.

Friend I cannot stand alone
I need your hand to hold
The warmth of your gentle touch
In my world that has grown so cold.

Please be a friend to me,
and hold me day by day.
With your loving hand in mine,
I know we'll find the way

**I was suppose to recite those poem without the sheet and I've done it for my class. I hope you enjoy this poem that I chose because it had a lot of things that I thought about when I read it. Love, care for other people, and someone that will love you and be there for you day by day. Enjoy !

It's cute and the rhymes are well done, but there's nothing that makes it stand out from the other poems. It's too mainstream and you need perhaps a line or two that would make it stand apart from the rest, something that would make people go WOW. Good poem, not great.
