this is the script to get rid of the trim:
"<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<style type="text/css">
hr {display:none;}
</style>
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->"
is there a script to replace it with an image instead? help would be appreciated

Umm.. I dont know, but what would be easier if you were to make an image then put it down on the bottom of your website stats, remove the horizontal line, and viola. It would look like you replaced it..

It's called the horizontal rule.
And have you tried adding a background image...?

I want to remove the trim off xanga that appears around comments. I came to this post and tried the code that lilshawtie92 suggested but it didn't work. I tried inserting it both in the header and webstat section but it doesn’t work.

..... The HR isn't the border on comments. It's the border at the bottom of your xanga. Anyways, take this out of your webstats.

No I want that code in there because its easier to read comments that way because it divids it into sections. I want to get rid of the trim around the profile pics. I fixed it by editing the colours behind the alternating background colours on the comment page and setting the trim to the same colour on the look and feel page. I wish there was a way to get rid of the lines that appear around the profile pics in a better way though.

There shouldn't be one. =/ The border are set to zero on the images.
Oh wait, nevermind.
CODE
<style type="text/css">.cpic{border: none;}</style>

Thanks that code worked, you are a genius! You're very clever how did you work that out? Now I can change my alternating background colours back to normal and the annoying trim around profile pics is gone!
