hey

i was just wondering...how do you guys make those little mini-movies in the icons?? for example...

see the little mini-movie in the corner? i was just wondering if there was some site where they have all these little clips and you just c/p them into the icon when your making them or if you need to use imageready?

You do need imageready to make them, but I am sure there are other programs you can use to make those. Here is a TUTORIAL that might help for imageready.

As for sites, I think their might be one, but I do not know any.

Sorry if I haven't been much help.

oh i c, so its not a site that you get the minimovies from?
talcumpowder
Usually not. It's more like, you resize a movie + convert it to a .gif file. -shrug-

I have a question that relates to this topic. Let's say I found an gif image I like but it's in flash. How do I convert the flash thing to .gif , so I can use it for imageready?

oh..is there a mini-movie option in image ready? i always click the "animated" one. lol..so are those called mini-movie icons? or is it animated gif icons... and for the flash thing...i always just take a screen shot of everything and paste it into ps and edit it...heh...but thats most likely the hard way of doing things blink.gif

Yeah, I did the flash thing, but all it gave me was a blank screen when the flash movie was playing.

in imageready, i open the movie file, and then delete some of the frames and make it into a file.

There is a tutorial for Animaton Shop here on cb. It could help a little bit. By the way, Animation Shop is way easier than Image Ready. But I use Image Ready.
