Ok, so I have to read 2 of these 4 books for my english class next year. I could use some input. The list contains -

A Tale of Two Cities
A Time to Kill
Once and Future King
Gulliver's Travels

I've heard of all but the last book and we probably have at least 2 of them. Anyway, anyone read any of these?
racoons > you
oh read gulliver's travels!!!!

a tim eto k8ill as the second choice.

A Time to Kill is a damn good book.

This should probably be moved to homework, though.
Spirited Away
I only read two out of the four you mentioned ermm.gif , but I really liked The Once and Future King. The whole "might is right" thing made me think.

>Homework.

I've heard of all of those but haven't read any of them. I have to read The People's History of the United States amongst seven others this summer.

DON'T READ A TALE OF TWO CITIES.

I read it this year for english. I will read anything, from magazines and awesome books to encyclopedias and the ingredients of cheerios. But I could not finish that book.

My two cents happy.gif

I read that during the year. It's a tough book, but once I finished it I decided I liked the story. It was just hard to read

Tale of Two Cities was long, but I actually liked it. But I dunno, what kind of work do you need to do with the books that you have read?

I would read Gulliver's Travels and A Time To Kill.
emazing
Lucky you.
I wish I was assigned a summer reading list; I get bored easily and books often helps kill time.
Ironically speaking, you should try A Time to Kill.

The first two are good books. A Time To Kill and A Tale Of Two Cities.
Paradox of Life
You're lucky you got a choice of 4 books. I had a choice of 3. I read 1 and I hate 1 of them, but I'm already pretty far in it. I'd go with Gulliver's Travels. It seems like the most interesting, fantastic story (I have the movie).

Went to Barnes and Noble monday. Only got to spend about 10 minutes there though. aww. I got A Time to Kill and The Once and Future King

I'll probably finish them both on the way to australia! tongue.gif

I still suggest A Time to Kill and A Tale of Two Cities.

The writing is most quality.

Mainly because I think Once and Future King is written poorly, and Gulliver's Travels even worse.
