Okay... I'm having problems with installing a modification. Every time I try to add the modification to the folder I'm supposed to, I get an error saying access was denied because the CD-ROM drive I'm using is read only. I've been working with computers since I was two, I know that you can't turn read only off on certain types of discs. But if that's true, how the heck do you add modifications to this game?? (Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy) It's MEANT to have modifications on it, I see them all over the internet. I'm sorry this is in the wrong forum, don't bother answering unless you have a suggestion for the modification. Leave it to the mods to close this. Thank you to all who help.

Are you making the changes to the game files installed on the hard drive?

Also, are the directions with any of the sites that distribute these modifications?
