I got to JC Penney because Macy's is too damn expensive, and I don't care about labels or anything. Not at all.

Mar 10 2006, 07:24 PM
^ Same here. I don't shop at those two stores much, though. But, Macy's is filled with brands like baby phat and ecko and I don't really wear those, plus they're hella expensive so I go to JC Penney more.

This doesn't seem like much of a debate. Macy*s is much, much, much better than JC Penny.

I don't like either...but I'd def prefer JCPenny's over Macys any day.
JCPennys does have good skin care lines and over the counter makeup.

Same here. But apparently, we're supposed to be getting a Macy's soon. So I'll say JC Pennys for now.

i prefer macy's... jcpenney's has a sort of mass produced feel, more so then macy's, and the clothes don't fit me well.

Mar 25 2006, 12:04 AM
The two cant really be compared. Macy's is more high end stuff, and expensive. Like Dooney and Bourke, Tommy Hilfiger, ect... Jcpennys is alot cheaper, but has different brands.
I'd have to say Macys though.

[edit] Actually, we just got a Macys... so i've only been there once or twice. Here in Florida they used to be called Burdines, which is basically the same thing as Macys.. except I dont think they carried as much of the higher-end stuff.

neither. i don't like jc penneys, and i've never been to macy's.

the jcpennys around my area are trashy and messy. macy is so much better.
edit: i just realized that trashy isn't the best word since jcpennys isn't slutty. haha. i meant trashy in an unorganized, messy way.

I bought some shoes from there today, actually; all-black coach "barrett sneakers".
They look like converse, lol.

They're both ok. But I prefer Macy's better, my aunt works there and in the Macy's where I live they have clean dressing room areas with sofas and tvs and the same goes with the restroom areas. So when I have to wait for my mom I just sit there and watch tv.

Jason for being mr big pimping, and unregistered...I dont know how you can say that you spend so much..at macys or jc penny...cmon quit fronting
Personally I think I went to Macys before in vegas for some jeans..normally I just spend lots and lots of money at outlets since I spent 1k, thats about 1.5k if i were to buy in stores...and then If I count retail..thats where all of the savings are at. Forget macys sales, Nordstrom rack, I hit up the outlet stores..

JC Penney's IS always a mess. The clothing from there does feel "mass produced" as mentioned earlier. The only things they really have for guys are dressy button downs that look very cheap or like, golferish/those people who go door to door trying to sell a cheap set of knives, ugly graphics tees, or shirts with retarded quotes on them.
Macy's is a whole lot better. Although they are getting rid of most of the Calvin Klein

at my local Macy's, it's still a lot better than jc penney's. I get most of my stuff from there, but lately it's being filled with mostly Sean John, Ecko, and Phat Farm. Eh, not really into those so much. I don't know when's the last time I've seen Tommy at my Macy's.
The Macy's in NYC is the best store ever, it will so keep me in debt when i move there for college.
But yeah. Here I just stick to Express, American Eagle, Nordstorm, Hollister, and Buckle.
Oh and what sucks, is that my mom works at the Penney's catalog place taking phone call orders and whatnot, so she gets a 20% employee discount that I'll never get to take advantage of! AHH haha

JC Penny. Their sales are CRAZY. One time I bought around 7-8 whole outfits - spent around $30 and saved around $90. It was insane.

JCPenny, they always end up having what i look for, but I'm starting to think GOODY*S will be my number 1 store. Maybe GLIKS (if anyone's ever heard of it, they have one at my local mall, I'm SOO glad they're getting a wider variety of stores they only had5 for as long as i can remember but now it's tipping to 10 but hey, what can you expect from a small town mall?lol
