first time i smoked was a cigarette .. and i was about .. 13 then [ im turning 16 in a month ] .. i also smoked a black .. and weed :-\ .. im not addicted or anythinq i just wanted to try it and i do occasionally smoke weed .. last time i did was like 2 or 3 weeks ago but im stopping it all togeher now

never. i have really bad lungs. when i get anywhere near smoke i start coughing and my chest tightens...i couldn't even if i wanted to.

i don't smoke. i'm never going to try it. even though my friends ask me to try it, i won't. ><; because i dont want cancer, lung cancer, or any cancer ><; and i dont want to die ><; and the fact that i cough whenever i smell cigarettes aka nicotine o_O; yes ><;; im weird. i can't stand the smell, i just.. hate it.

Won't smoke, never will. I'm vulnerable to second-hand smoke though, since my grandpa smokes...

I've tried it a couple times. I never smoke more than one tho. I always wind up selling the pack to someone. I usually smoke when I'm drinking.

i had to do a school survey on this it turns out ages 13-15 is the highest results but this was like provincial wide.

i never even got to meet my grandmother becasue she smoked. smoking doesnt lead to anything good. why be curious about what will happen when u smoke if youve been taught all its consequences since 3rd grade?

People aren't curious about the consequences of smoking. They're curious about how it feels. And that's what's drawing me in to want to start smoking or at least try it even though I learned about its dangers. The only problem is I have bad asthma, so I probably would be killing myself on the spot with a cigarette.

I've never smoked anything though most of my friends have. I have no problem if someone decides to start smoking, it's their choice what they want to do and if they want to screw themselves up then heck, it's what they want. As long as they don't smoke around me then I don't care =)

People who are older and who smoke never had as much information taught to them about the hazards of smoking. They never had "D.A.R.E" in their classrooms or anything. But I think people around our age (at least under 25) should know better because they were educated about it. Before you try it, just know that it's one of the hardest habits to shake. One try is enough but don't make it a habit just because your friends want you to, afterall, it's your life not theirs.

well my dad used to smoke a lot. he doesnt anymore =) but when i was like younger....7-9? i dont remember....he was like "i dont want you to ever try smoking..." so he let me tried one puff...but it wasnt really a puff, i kinda just choked a bit on the smell. :P

I know some girls out there are doing it to get "THINNER", but I'd rather get my body slimmed and into shape by more balanced and healthier meals.......exercise........and good sleep~ That way, I can lower risks of health diseases and stuff RATHER THAN smoking to be thin until my lungs and brain cells die!!!!!

Plus, its a turn-off for guys.........I've just randomly struck up the topic with all my guy frds & their frds. Pretti much 99% of them tell me that girls smoking is a turn-off for me EVEN if the guy smokes himself!

I know friends who smoke..........they're nice ppl, they just can't get out of the habit which makes me give all sympathy to them although they've made the wrong choice to the wrong path...............

i will never ever touch a cigarette. i dont even understand why some people would wanna try. well, okay, seeing as i never saw either of my grandfathers because they died of lung cancer from smoking, i HATE it. it doesn't even make you high, just addicted. imagine the sum if you decided to land a lifetime expense on it.

well i was pretty dumb when i was 7. an older girl [she was 10] in my neighborhood liked smoking so i thought that if i did it i'd be cool. i'm glad i never became addicted. i just used it as an excuse to want to brush my teeth.

i smoked pot when i was 17. i admit. I loved it. It seemed like I couldn't get enough. Well, I'm glad I don't do that anymore either.

i know a bunch of people who smoke like crazy. i know a bunch of people who have been busted for underage smoking. i see it as a weakness and as of now do not want to even try.

what happens when u get busted 4 underage smokin? you dont really get busted where i cum from..we evan smoke at skool...an if u get cort nuthin really happens but no1 stops u while ur on the street or anythin?!?

I started when I was 12 out of peer pressure and I was curious. I'm 13 now and I'm way addicted. I've been trying to stop all summer and I haven't been able to. Anybody who WANTS to start smoking, I suggest you don't. I PLEAD you don't. It's a horrible habit to stop. The only plus I think I've gotten out of it is that it really calms me when I'm stressed.

well...for those of you addicted...
my cousin was really addicted. if you took out his sleeping time, eating time, lesson times, he practically chain smoked. then he sorta realised it was getting really silly so...he cut down one by one. he used to do 2 packs daily. he cut down one cig everyday until now =) it was tempting for him to go for two packs again but we'd steal his cigs and replace them with those chocolate finger biscuits. so yeah, perhaps family and friends are major parts of cutting it down or stopping.
