kinda overrated, and theyre taking over all the top sites.

if you want a layout, get one thats createblog.com worthy, not something that was thrown together with color hex codes and a banner slapped at the top.

to me, they all look tacky and i dont understand how people like them...

^^^i get where youre coming from on the whole stealing your pictures, but you never put ur name directly on the picture...they all put it as a link and thats about 4000000 times easier to remove than your name on the picture

In addition to what you said, I HATE putting my name on my images because it takes away from the image itself. Imagine that you painted a building green and then you'd have to sign your name in bold RED letters so people know that you were the one who did it. It would definitely make the building look awkward. But I feel that I have to do it in order to prevent stealing...

Ugh. I hate those sites.
They're all like xtragicwhore and x__bangbang and crap like that.
They make emo and scene layouts for the most part, but basically all they do is add some lame swirly in the bottom right corner, and then type something in the header. Most likely part of a song.

It's so pathetic. That doesn't take that long to do.
Hell, I could make my own layout site and do that right now if I wanted to, but I don't want to. They make themselves seem like they're big-time skin makers, but they're... not.

Gah. It IS annoying when people jock things, but they make it seem like it took them hours and hours to make a layout of theirs, when in fact it probably only took about five minutes to make the image and another five to edit the code.

i know what you mean; it bothers the heck outta me. i mean, i understand their frustration and everything because i dont own a layout site nor do i MAKE layouts but i run a forum for a korean boyband and i get really rare photos from my friends and/or i make my own effort to do stuff for the forum and then someone gets credits off of MY own work- so it can get really upsetting. but anyways, back to what you were saying- just a bunch of hex colors and a banner isnt all that hard to do. they make it seem as if they risked hours and broke a back doing all of that. -__-

I hate hate hate how these girls have those layouts that are so simple and it's just like changing the borders to like, 6px and making it like, hot pink. and then there's a cheesy banner done on paint that says something like "my hopes are so high your kiss might kill me" and don't even know what song it's from. and then they make topsites because they prrobably click on it a billion times. and then they're so ugly and everyone comments them going like "LyK omG yur layoutz r sooooo pretty!!!111" Uh, ew? Personally, createblog has better skins, minus the ones that look like shit that is.

Psh, I know what you mean. All of the banners I've seen on this one layout site included swirlies, grids, and the Cheri Liney font. Pshhh. I used to love those layouts, until I discovered cB. x3

i think people only like it because they all go for the "gangster" look. the layouts that people give out at layout sites have swirls&stars and all those tacky things. it makes it look "cool" and "gangster" i guess.

i totally agree. the only reason i come to cB is because of top-quality layouts. no offense to blogring, but all the layouts were made by middle school kids with the rendered clouds and the UpPeR aNd LoWeR letters and the mispelled words.

Eyah, I realised that too. I mean, they're only some hex codes and some unworthy banner. They don't deserve to be on the xanga top list thing.

thats true, cB's layout is much better than almost all of them. i agree w/ you. people spend alot of time on a cheap layout w/ "nice" banner.

Oh well, there are people out there who like these kind of defaultish layouts anyway... so I don't really care about them.

I think those people should actually try learn to make an actual 'layout', not just customizing stuff and adding scripts, then say it's a layout...

I agree with everyone..it is quite annoying. First, I thought it was kind of cute that people were trying to make their own layouts, but now it's just crazy . Everyone seems to be having their own layout site..and the layouts suck.

Anywhoo, in the last month, I must've passed by more than 4 of those sites.

There are some legit sites...actually only two to my knowing, Roxy's (xquizit) and Tia (souldreamers).

I use to have a layout site, but I never kind about props.
My layout werent girly neither 'I Will Come & Kill You At Night' unless you count that as girly. There were dark and evil-ish layouts. I didnt care about props lol. I closed the layout site thought. It was 2 much girls requesting so many layout and banners. To much for me lol.

Gahh! Yes! Yes those sites piss me off to no end.



I just HATE those crappy layouts girls put on their xangas; full of cheap swirl brushes with a random song lyric or something lame overrated love quote thrown in. They always think they're such GREAT layout makers. All they needed to do to make those cheap "layouts" was fiddle around with the style sheet hex codes and add some banner with about two kinds of brushes stamped on with text. And poof! Now they're some expert layout-maker.


My friend's friend used to do that, and it made me want to hit something really hard. ._.

GAH i hate it even more when they get lyk 4938704349 comments saying "OMG LYK UR LAYOUTS R LYK SO HAWT AND SEXI!!" and all they do is give it a border and a background image. that pisses me off more than just people stealing it because if you steal a layout like that and claim that they made it, they're stupid. personally, i think cB layouts are alot better to steal.

There was this one site and every layout was the same exact thing with different blinding neon ugly colors and she had like 3000 comments ["3000 cOmMeNtz OR nO mOrE lAyOuTs GuYz!!!1!"] f**king burned out my corneas.
