one of the rules here is no advertising but then why are there ads in topics? Doesn't that count as advertising?
i think we should either take that rule out or take the ads out.

You mean the google ads? Umm..no. It brings traffic to createBlog. I'm not sure if it helps pay for it or not (it may) because I've seen it for other sites. Do they bother you that much?

I dont think you can.. O.o it's like.. google ads.. ermm.. yeah. I have an idea why we cant take it off, I just cant put it down in words.

I forgot something. Why shouldn't we take them out? It's spam. We'd have people making topics providing useless links. The type of advertising allowed is if it's your xanga (in your signature) and those that provide information.

Google ads do pay for click-throughs (meaning a certain amount [usually cents] are paid for every person that clicks a good ad through this site.)

To the person who created this, the google ads have nothing to do with posting replies/threads in this forum. Google ads are IMPLEMENTED into the design of the forum. That's a huge difference betweem posting spam, and having the google ads.

This topic is completely moronic.

hi,
the google ads are there to support the website. as for our advertising policy, i think the original poster misunderstood its purpose.
