I haven't tried them, but I don't think I'd like them very much. I can imagine them just being there and bothering me.

yeah, not the ones you buy at a drugstore or something though, i've gotten them done in the nail salon. i've gotten gels and acrylics, i prefer acrylics.

I never tried fake nails before. I don't really want to either since I play the violin and long nails aren't allowed.

although i prefer my natural nails, artificial ones are okay. they leave dried glue on your finger nails though. i dont like long ones.

oh yea just so u no, if u wear artifical like the REAL ones by profesionals, it can make ur skin turn green and make your own nails drop off. im damn serious. just if u wanted to know...

You mean tips? lol Yes I've had them. I think its okay, not that it really matters, sometimes its hard to type w/ them on.

I hate fake nails You can tell they're fake for one thing. It looks so stupid. Plus, they're bad for your nails. My mom wore them for a while, & now her nails break easily because they're so thin from getting fake nails, & they have horrible ridges, & they're all sorta yellowish...not pretty. All because of the fake nails. I'm never ever getting them

me too except for that i prefer gels. i have some on right now and i need a fill...so bad.


thats not true for everybody. i dont even think my skin can turn green i had the same ones on from september to january and that didnt happen when i finally took them off. yea i know thats a long time. the glue was soo good that i never broke one...i just got them back on in april after letting my fingers breathe

I tried it. Its kinda hard, b/c I was scared they were gona fall off. So I was being really careful nd stuff. Then it got annoying. My parents won't let me get the real stuff.

I think fake nails are kinda icky... I don't use em cause I like my own nails and I can paint them myself, ya know, give em my own style.

No, i would perfer mine better because mine is long like its suppose to be. Also, its more comfortable than the one that is fake, you can barely even do anything with the fake one, afraid that its going to break and all.

I wear the shorter fake nails every once and a while. The long ones are really annoying because you can't open soda cans.

i have artificial nails right now. if you find it hard to type with them, then ask the manicurist to make them short.

i dont like how fake nails look but i might try them because they fascinate me. during promotion all the girls got a manicure and they had those fake nails and stuff and it looked really clawy and weird. i guess fake nails only look good on some people.

i have only had fake nails twice, once wen i was younger because i thought it was cool, and once for prom because all my nails just happened to break. i hate them. it makes your nail layer thin and weaker. i would not suggest getting them all the time at all. i love my real nails, they just break after they get so long. i never plan on fake nails ever again...maybe for my wedding. but other than that no! they're really uncomfotable also. couple days after prom i was trying to open my car door, and my fake nails almost ripped off my real nails. it fuqqen hurt like crap too, it turns out i was bruised on the inside only. it was an actual purple. if i had held on to the door a bit longer, i wouldnt of had up to four finger nails on my right hand ripped off. fake nails = trouble, period. its nice, but not worth the pain.

yes i normally get them for special occasion and I leave them on for a few weeks, cause I dont want to get fungus or anything, I am thinking about gettting some more this summer..

HAhA! Fake nails are for people who dont really like their nails.. My mom went to some Nail School so my sister was her model.. My sister had to have three of her nails with that glue and fake nails on. Not the plastic ones tho. 0__0

I've had acrylics (sp?) or fake nails and they're fine. It just depends on where you get them done and how good the people are. I just get them done on special occasions or if I want my hands to look better (I bite my nails so I have pretty bad hang nails.) When I have acrylics on, I can't chew my nails thus I don't have hang nails.

Also, you won't get any fungus or bacterial infection if you get your nails done at a good place and who uses steril equipment. And you obviously need to make sure the nails are clean underneath (no dirt, etc. which is common sense.)

I never get mine long because you run into the problem of not being able to do every day things. I get mine as short as just long enough to barely go over the tip of my finger. The people there look at me like I'm nuts for wanting them that short but to me, it looks nicer, they don't look like "claws", and they're easier.

They're pretty, but they just eff up your nails so badly when it's time to take them off.
I had pretty good natural nails before I got acrylic, but when it came time to take them off, I hated it because my nails looked absolutely horrible.

when i was 12 & 13, i'd buy fake nails at walgreens. then i let my friend do them once. but my dad made me realize having your own nails are better. and they are.. it's better than having something fake.
