I'm sure there have been threads on this before, but I'll surely answer anyway.
I am a big fan of metal. I'm open to any type of metal. I love it all, really.
Also, I like hard rock quite a bit too.
Some soft rock's alright.
Alternative rock can be good too.
I used to like punk a lot... Political punk was my favorite. I don't listen to it much anymore though.
I do love ska.

Simply, it's rock with a brassline. (usually trumpets and trombones)
It's usually very upbeat.
You can find some good definitions here.
They're pretty detailed about the origin of it.
I like Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake a lot.

basically anything from the turn of the century until now.
Although I don't listen to most turn of the century music (20th century that is) it's pretty good stuff, some of it is pretty funny.
I LOVE the vocalists like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. All of that big band and swing music.
I'm a huge cole porter fan. that man could write some serisouly great music.
I adore oldies and classic rock. Most of my vinyl comes from the 70's, but I have a lot of 60's stuff too.
I dont listen to a whole lot from the 80's and early 90's. but i like what i listen to.
A lot of current music is really good too. I like the pop-punk/emo/pop stuff. I like to be able to dance to what i listen to.
Anyway, that's probably more than anyone cared to know about what music i like.
