You know what? Girls are WAAAAAY too girly nowadays. Am I the only chick who's ever even noticed? My boyfriend loves me for me, not because I'm constantly trying to impress him with girly features. Post your opinions.

Stereotypical is what that is, beacause not all girls are like that. I play sports. I've been on every sports team my school has had, but I don't act "girly," whatever you define girly. Yes I do like to buy clothes and such for myself, and I can't say I don't care what's in and what's out, but I don't wear make up, I never have, and I'm not planning to anytime soon.

Yeah dude I act more like a guy and I wear baggy clothes and junk but yeah I'm more athletic than any other girl I know or go to school with. I was voted most athletic girl in my 8th grade class. It's cool cause the guy I like likes me more cause we can play sports together and then i can be all sensitive and slightly girly when he just wants some down time to spend cuddling.

How is a girl "too" girly? Your statement was more of a generalization...I'm not girly. I hate dresses/skirts...And I don't wear shorts. There's really nothing wrong w/ girls being girly or guy-ish. It doesn't change them being themselves. My mom, she's really feminine, but she's independent and can take care of our finances and her family WITHOUT my dad...

As long as they're happy and they get by just fine...That's all that matters. Both guys and girls try to impress each other...I'm not saying everyone, but some do...It's usually a sign of the start of adolescence.

Yea like those girls that wear short demin skirts and pink tops with flipflops, louise vuitton purses, huge gucci sunglasses, says omg every 5 seconds, fake high voice, watches laguna beach and worships paris hilton and hav fake boobs, duz that hi pitched scream wenever there's a lil bug, and wear an inch thick layer of make up on their face.... they annoy me after a while

Ok.. I'm a girl. I like to play videogames (which I rock at by the way), but I love to go shopping and gossip. I hate make-up. I hate getting sweaty. I don't play too many sports. I can totally relate to guys but I can totally relate to girls too. My boyfriend loves me because I'm me and I'm oober awsome.

I dress the way I want too... Whether its "girlie" or "guyie". Whatever rocks my boat.

There's nothing wrong with being girly. I think it's quite healthy to be so, not always trying to be all down-with-the-guys. I mean, sometimes it's nice to treat yourself like a girl with make-up and facials and all that good stuff.

im one of those girls who shops at Hollister and AE and stuff and wears those cute skirts. I wear makeup and I worship MAC. I wear my huge Chanel sunglasses and my cute flip flops with my pedicure and manicure. My clothing does not affect my intelligence, attitude, or speaking habits. I love being a girly-girl and not being a ditz. There's a difference.

Well, if you know someone is too girly for you and you have a problem with it, then don't hang out with them. Girls will always be girly; what do you expect? It's just that some are more girly than others. What's the problem with that? You want to be a tomboy and your boyfriend appreciates that, good for you. Don't generalize it.

Why is everyone defining 'girly' as being 'ditzy'? They are different definitions! There are butchy girls out there who are plain dumbo in the brain! I would say I'm a girly girl, because I fix my hair and choose clothes that make my body look nice and I tend to be a sweet girlfriend by fixing the boytoy dinner.
