DON'T LAUGH. I really wanted to post in this writing forum so this is what I came up with. I think it's a little cliche but aren't most poems?

The silence was so smooth
I heard a pin drop
to the ground.
A crow cawed in the distance
And she looked back
At what she was leaving.
The house full of paintings
of her mom and dad
and brother.
No one there now
Except the hushed portraits.
Broken windows
Broken bells
Chiming by the half-hour
But no is coming
To the door.
And with one last breath
And one last look
She whips her head the other way
Her hair flies astray
In the light.
"Goodbye," she whispered.
"Goodbye, good day, and good night."
